2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Review

Users of the brand new KTM 1290 Super Duke R will soon pass by a specialist of KTM to solve a problem identified after a routine review of the naked 180 hp. The reason for calling a global review of the 2014 model is a manufacturing defect of an external provider that could affect the tightness of the fuel tank which could lead to fuel leaks.

Specific KTM explains that internal overflow of tube, set with three threads, can not be well insulated with plastic.

Hence the possibility that the fuel could filter by these threads, resulting in small fuel leakage. It is a manufacturing defect that has been corrected and only affects 2014 models.

As often happens in these cases, the manufacturer will contact with users personally for an appointment with an official KTM workshop. The cost of the review course is free for the biker.
