2013 Horex VR6
The German company has introduced two naked models with 6-cylinder engine in V that could reach the street next summer, request clear: The Classic and The Individual.
The Horex brand and its manager Clemens Neese are still unknown to the majority of fans. Contrary to what one might think, the mark of Augsburg was created in 1920, but it production ceased in 1960 when it fell to Daimler-Benz.
Resurfaced in 2010 by a group of enthusiasts who bet on a different project with mechanical 6 cylinder in Vth ultra-compact and twin-spar aluminum chassis. Only dealers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Although its production is handmade and to order, we can say that the BMW K1600GT and Honda Goldwing 1800 are not alone in the universe of the six cylinders.
The engine-chassis is the same for all: 1200 cc, 175 hp at 8,500 rpm, 3 radial valves per cylinder, compressor, oil clutch, ABS, WP inverted forks of 50 mm, single-sided swingarm, Brembo radial calipers, 250 km/h, 260 kg full … The V formed by the cylinder is so close that it almost looks like a 6 line (only 15° angle).
The Horex Classic maintains dyes from the ’60s thanks to its dual color painting with black chassis, the leather seat and spoked wheels. For its part, the Individual is a reflection of what the customer asks. The bike had exposed alloy wheels, blue paint and Alcantara seat.
