Honda PCX 125, new 2017 version

The Honda PCX 125 has remained the market leader since 2013. The success of this scooter is due thanks to the experience of Honda, perfected year after year. The 2017 PCX 125 features a modern design as well as robust, able to adapt to urban lifestyle taking into account aesthetics. Its compact dimensions allow progress through the dense traffic and easy to park. Personal comfort level “X” that gives the name is due to its integrated driving position; large space under the seat can accommodate full-face helmet and manufacturing quality in order to provide versatility.

Honda PCX 125 was the first scooter to incorporate the Idling Stop in 2010 and, two years later, was the first in Europe to have the ultra-efficient engine Honda ESP “enhanced Smart Power”. These issues are compounded by the good value for price, which has helped the good consideration of this scooter. It has great fuel efficiency (47.4 km/liter), plus an eight-liter tank allows a range of over 375 km. The 2017 new model also complies with the Euro 4 emissions standard, thus reducing its environmental impact.

As for style and equipment, it has compact dual LED headlamp that adds a sporty touch. Both the indicators as the license plate and the pilot light also feature LED. It has wide left glove box with 12V AC adapter to charge a mobile phone. The seat has a height of 760 mm from the ground and 540 mm from the footrest. Seat and tank cover open with a single touch switches and the ignition key has shutter to add security.

With regard to the 125cc engine, two valves, SOHC and liquid cooling, offers excellent performance to boot from stoplights (from 0-50m in just 5.4 seconds). Its economy in gasoline consumption is reflected in a yield of 47Km/liter without Idling Stop on (WMTC mode). For the manufacture of motorcycle have been used low friction technologies working in harmony. An offset cylinder reduces the friction caused by contact between the piston and the sleeve, transmitting efficiently the crankshaft so the energy of combustion. A compact camera and a fuel injection PGM-FI optimize combustion and cooling performance.
