New 2013 Kawasaki Z250 for the Asian market

Kawasaki has just announced the launch of a naked for the Asian market: the Z250. Take advantage of the engine cycle and part of the previous Ninja 250R, taking the image of the 2013 Z800.

2013 Kawasaki Z250

Kawasaki has officially launched a new model, The Z250, is currently only available for the Asian market, where the displacement of 250 accumulated many sales.

To be able to market it at a competitive price the new Z250 equipped the same engine as the Ninja 250R, DOHC 8 valve parallel twin water cooled and powered by electronic injection. A very reliable engine that delivers good performance of its 249 cc to provide 33 hp.

In the same line of cost-containment also equipped the chassis of the Ninja 250R, and the same brakes, 290 mm front petal disc with double piston caliper and 220 mm rear petal disc, suspension and wheel sizes, front 110/70-17 and rear 130/70-17, so basically you could say that the new Z250 is a Ninja 250R without fairing.

Aesthetically is clearly inspired by her older sister, the Kawasaki Z800, headlight cover, plastics side, seat, tail, exhaust … everything follows the design of the Z800. Getting a very slick aesthetic that resembles a larger displacement bike.

Taking into account that the Ninja 300R sold in the European market, will not take in seeing the same conversion on the basis of the 300, a naked Z300 which would face with models such as the KTM Duke 390, or the Suzuki Inazuma 250.
